Old Towns of the Do'an Canyon, Yemen
The town of Budha in central Yemen’s Do’an Valley is spectacular. Located at the bottom of a canyon, almost all of the village’s homes are multi-story mud brick buildings constructed in the same manner as they have been for hundreds of years. Locals graze their goats and collect dates from palms in the valley, maintaining a very traditional existance in this deeply conservative part of Arabia.
